Beijing Huahong (BHDC) Achieves GSMA SAS-SM Accreditation for SM-DP+ and eIM Services

Beijing, China – August 17, 2026 – Beijing Huahong (BHDC), a global provider specializing in secure chip applications, embedded software and trusted connectivity solutions, has achieved accreditation under the GSMA Security Accreditation Scheme for Subscription Management (SAS-SM).

The accredited scope covers the operation of BHDC’s Subscription Manager Data Preparation Plus (SM-DP+) and eSIM IoT Remote Manager (eIM) services, strengthening the security foundation for remote eSIM provisioning and lifecycle management under the GSMA SGP.32 architecture.

Strengthening Operational Security for Enterprise IoT

The accreditation follows an independent audit of the physical, logical and operational security controls supporting BHDC’s subscription management environment. It provides customers with recognized assurance that sensitive subscription data and remote provisioning processes are managed within an environment assessed against GSMA security requirements.

As eSIM expands into smart metering, connected vehicles and industrial automation, remote connectivity management increasingly becomes part of long-term operational resilience. Devices in these environments may remain in service for many years and can be difficult or costly to access physically. For mobile network operators, device manufacturers and enterprise customers, working with a GSMA-accredited service provider can simplify security due diligence and reduce uncertainty around the operational controls behind large-scale deployment.

A Continuous, Hardware-to-Cloud Security Chain

SAS-SM accreditation complements BHDC’s existing GSMA eUICC Security Assurance (eSA) and Security Accreditation Scheme for UICC Production (SAS-UP) credentials.

Together, these capabilities form a continuous eSIM delivery chain rooted in BHDC’s expertise in secure chip applications, self-developed Chip Operating Systems (COS) and embedded software. The chain extends from eUICC development, secure production and personalization to profile preparation, remote provisioning and lifecycle management.

This approach allows security to be addressed as a continuous system rather than through isolated controls at different stages. It also enables BHDC to support partners across both the device-side foundation and the operational environment required for commercial eSIM services.

Supporting the Transition to SGP.32

The inclusion of eIM within the accredited scope reflects BHDC’s readiness to support the industry’s transition to the GSMA SGP.32 architecture.
Developed for network- or user-interface-constrained IoT devices, SGP.32 provides a more practical framework for remote eSIM provisioning and management. Through the coordinated operation of eIM, SM-DP+ and device-side components, organizations can manage eSIM subscriptions across distributed device fleets without physical SIM replacement or routine end-user intervention.

Looking ahead, BHDC will continue investing in standards-aligned eSIM infrastructure. Building on its complete suite of GSMA credentials, the company remains committed to helping operators, device manufacturers, and enterprise IoT businesses move projects from technical integration to dependable, large-scale deployment.
